On Wednesday, April 24 the Nature & Books Discussion group will meet from 6-7:30pm on Zoom to discuss Upstream by Mary Oliver.
This is a book of essays by the renowned poet Mary Oliver--with the first and fourth chapter devoted to the natural world. The middle chapters focus on authors who have inspired her work. It's a slim volume by a book and nature lover herself--and quite a poet!
Attendees are asked, if they so desire, to bring a short poem or a selection of a poem by Mary Oliver to share during part of our time together. Or... any other poem about nature by a poet that is beloved by you!
We eagerly welcome newcomers to the series, but we are close to capacity for a book group. Do not delay if you are interested in joining us for this session or future sessions! :)
I have more copies of Upstream arriving at the library to loan--but this week's storm is going to delay their arrival. They will be here next Wednesday, April 10. Let me know if you'd like to borrow one, if you haven't contacted me already. The discussion guide will be mailed to registered participants soon--so please make sure to register with me, if you were NOT at the March session or haven't already communicated with me.
We will also send you the Zoom link when you register.
