Hello neighbors! May 4, 2024 is Green Up Day! This all-ages, family-friendly event is an excellent way to come together as a community, clean up our roadways, and build a strong network of people who care about our beautiful state. Trash/recycling dropoff happens on May 4th, but you are welcome to begin greening up whenever it fits into your schedule.

This year, be a part of something BIG as we work together to Green Up Vermont and achieve "Most Pledges Received for Trash Cleanup In 24 Hours". If you are interested in participating please email us with your name, email address, and preferred road to Green Up. (mollybaconclark@gmail.com)

Green Up bags will be available at the following places during regular office hours during the last week of April through May 4:
Jay Town Clerk's Office - Mon,Tues,Thurs 7 am - 4 pm, Weds 7 am – Noon and on front porch of Jay Town Clerk's Office
Troy Town Clerk's Office: Mon,Tues, Weds, Thurs 9 am - 5 pm
Jay/Troy Recycling - Fri 1 - 4 pm, Sat 9 am - noon
Pick up bags and Green Up at your leisure. Please use separate bags for trash, returnables and recyclables.

Please keep track of how many bags of returnable, recyclables, and trash you collect to add to our grand total.

Drop returnables into the Bottle Hut - in clear bags
Bring recyclables to Jay/Troy Recycling - in clear bags
Please bring Green-Up trash bags to the dumpster at Jay Town Hall. Bags & Dumpster will be available between 10 am - noon on Saturday, May 4. Stop by and grab a thank you cookie, or a coffee and say hello!
