In honor of Earth Day/Month and Arbor Day, the Charlotte Tree Stewards have planned a Day of Tree Planting to enrich the town trail and celebrate our connection to the land.
SAVE THE DATE!
On Saturday, April 13th , 10 AM we will need VOLUNTEERS to help us install trees along a section of the town trail that connects Mt Philo State Park to the Lower Town Trail. We will also be planting trees at the new Town Garage.
The bare-root, native trees will be planted in pre-dug holes, mulched, and staked. If you would like to volunteer to help (between 10 AM and 1 PM) please EMAIL ME below. I'll be back in touch with more instructions and a short video on planting bare-root trees.
On the day of planting, please bring gloves, a shovel and a bucket for mulch or a wheelbarrow (if you have one). Families are welcome. Contact me for details, and thanks!
There are many other events scheduled for April, Earth Month in Charlotte. A list of activities is available at the Charlotte Library or on their website. Celebrate with us and save what's best about our planet.
