The Jericho Energy Task Force will be hosting our second Repair Cafe on April 13. It will take place from 9 am to 1 pm at the Jericho Community Center. At this point we have the following skills to offer:
- Two people who repair sewing machines
- One who wants to help with electronics and will also try his hand at other things
- Three who can help with an assortment of clothing repairs
- Two people who can work on bicycles and electronic devices
There is also someone at Jeri-Hill hardware who is willing to look at broken items when he has spare time there during the day.
If you would like to bring something to be repaired, please email me directly at vtphyl72@gmail.com. You'll need to tell me what you're bringing and pick one of the time slots (9-10, 10-11, 11-12, or 12-1) so we can make sure people aren't waiting around unnecessarily. If the time slot you've picked is full, I'll let you know so you can change it. We are accepting walk-ins but there is no guarantee that you'll be able to get assistance.
We'd love to have more fix-it volunteers. There has been a community request for someone with skill at repairing clocks and for a knife sharpener but all volunteers are welcome. Please let me know if you think you can help out.
