The Alburgh Selectboard will consider approval of the revitalization of the Bicentennial Park, behind the Senior Center, at its meeting April 1st, Monday, at 6 PM at the town office. The planned park project includes:
>installing playground equipment for kids 2 to 12
>refurbishing the ice rink by resurfacing with asphalt, redoing the boards and adding lighting for winter evening use
>allowing the rink to be used for pickleball (and possibly tennis) during the summer.
The park project is a joint submittal by the Alburgh Rec Committee and the Islands Pickleball Association. The project is to be funded by a portion of the remaining ARPA funds (American Rescue Plan Act), and not by Alburgh tax proceeds.
Please show your support for the park project by attending the Selectboard meeting on Monday 4/1 at 6 PM sharp. If you cannot attend, please indicate your support by sending a note of support to Alex Goddard, Town Manager, at agoddard@alburghvt.org.
