AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free tax preparation assistance with a special focus on taxpayers who are over 50 and have low-to-moderate income. Trained and IRS-certified Tax-Aide volunteers will provide secure and confidential Federal and Vermont tax preparation at the C.O.R.E Adult Center, 20 Allen Street, Burlington, VT 05401. Appointments are available on Tuesday, April 9, between 10 AM to 2 PM. A confirmed appointment is required.

Plan on arriving fifteen minutes early to fill out needed paperwork. You will also need to bring the following items:
- Photo ID for taxpayer and spouse
- Social Security or ITIN numbers for all persons on the tax return
- Last year's tax return if available
- All forms W2, 1099 R, SSA1099, Other 1099 forms, self-employment records
- Mortgage interest, medical expenses, and charitable donations
- Educational expenses Form 1098 T
- If a home owner, your current Property Tax Bill (or a copy)
- Voided check if you desire a direct deposit of refund or debit of balance due
- Any tax correspondence from the IRS or VT.
