Late winter has all of us waiting and watching for the first wildflowers. By the end of March, we've seen pussy willows and maple flowers, alders and elms, but the ground-dwelling wildflowers are yet to come. Learn about the woodland wildflowers that will appear in April and May—what they are, where they grow, and what they tell us about the woods. Bloodroot, blue cohosh, trout lily, and trillium are among the many wildflowers we'll examine with beautiful photos of sunny woodland scenes. This event is perfect for all beginning and expert naturalists who enjoy spring wildflowers.
