The Marshfield Conservation Commission is seeking volunteers for an invasive plant removal project at Old Schoolhouse Common. Here are the details...
WHEN: Saturday, March 30th || 1:00PM - 4:00PM
WHERE: Old Schoolhouse Common, Marshfield
MAP: https://maps.app.goo.gl/97oHWKJmz7voWgTP8
Anyone is welcome to join, and there will be a number of different tasks of varying strenuousness. Please come dressed for the weather that day, and for digging in the dirt and using hand tools. Work gloves would be excellent to bring. We will provide a number of tools for volunteers to use, but it would be helpful if you happen to have any of the following and can bring them: garden clippers, pruning saw, loppers.
We envision this day of invasive plant removal as the beginning of an ongoing effort to manage invasive plants on the Old Schoolhouse Common property, and possibly expanding to other town-owned properties in the future.
There is no need to RSVP, but if you have any questions you can contact Bradley Materick (Chair of the Conservation Commission) by responding to this post or emailing jbmaterick@gmail.com. Thank you so much!
