The Lamoille Valley OLLI announces its last Spring series presentation at the Stowe Cinema Triplex, 454 Mountain Road, on Wednesday March 27 from 1-2pm. Doors open at 12:30.

Dr. Desiree Narango, Vermont Center of Ecostudies Conservation Scientist, will describe her interactions with the rare Bicknell's Thrush, what it eats, and where it goes for the winter. Her illustrated talk will also discuss ongoing and new research about the conservation of the Bicknell's Thrush and what this small bird has taught scientist about both the high-elevation ecosystems of Mt. Mansfield and the tropical forests of Hispaniola, where it winters. This small, secretive, sensitive, and rare bird has been studied for 30 years.

To register for this program go to learn.uvm.edu/olli/lamoille with your credit card or call 802-656-8407 during regular business hours. We can also assist you at the door. Individual programs are $8.

Please save the dates! Our next series will occur on Wednesdays in September and October!
