Tuesday April 2nd its the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Annual Fisheries Update!

Back at The Reservoir in Waterbury, VT!  Meeting starts at 7:00, dinner at 6:00! And online!

Bret Ladago, our VT Regional Fisheries Biologist will provide an update on wild trout in the Winooski River basin following the July 2023 flood and discuss how these populations may be impacted by climate change. He'll also give an update on regional aquatic organism passage projects and briefly discuss the recent rise in demand for multi-use recreation trails in Central Vermont and how these projects could affect local aquatic ecosystems.

Fly Fishing Film Tour, The Introduction to Fly Fishing for Women and The Vermont Trout Camp for Teens!

1. The 18th annual FLY FISHING FILM TOUR (F3T) is back on the road January 2024 with a top notch selection of short films that are sure to get you fired up for the season ahead!
JOIN IN THE FUN AT THE BIG PICTURE SHOW IN WAITSFIELD ON SATURDAY APRIL 13TH. DOORS OPEN AT 6:30 PM AND THE SHOW BEGINS AT 7:00 PM
This year there will be films that take you into the science of the Costa Marlin Project, to the deep depths of the jungle for the massive Peacock Bass, and will have a Steelhead story with characters as rare as the fish itself + many, many more.
The F3T is the original and largest fly fishing film event of its kind and we are proud to be an annual community event for all anglers.
Come for the action and stay for the prizing.
All proceeds help The MadDog Trout Unlimited Chapter to fund local river conservation, angler education, and the TU Trout in the Classroom Program.

2. The Introduction to Fly Fishing for Women is moving to Quimby Country!  Dates are May 18-19!  Look for the official announcement with the application soon!
 
3. Finally, The Vermont Trout Camp for Teens is looking to wrap up accepting applications soon so make sure you spread the news to interested parents and kids!
