For the first time ever, Vermont Natural Resources Council (VNRC) is bringing the Wild & Scenic Film Festival, one of the largest environmental film festivals in North America, to Woodstock! Join VNRC on the evening of April 4th at the Woodstock Town Hall Theatre (at 31 The Green, Woodstock, VT 05091) for their festival debut in the Upper Valley - it promises to be a fun-filled evening complete with trivia, concessions, raffles, prizes and much more. The Wild & Scenic Film Festival inspires Vermonters to activism through the transformative power of film, with engaging stories about environmental stewardship, scientific inquiry, grassroots activism, outdoor recreation, and the incredible resilience of nature and our communities. This year's festival is sponsored by Ben & Jerry's, Lake Champlain Chocolates, National Life Group, and Zero Gravity, with all proceeds to benefit VNRC's work statewide on a wide variety of environmental issues, including climate change and renewable energy, clean water and a toxic-free environment, sustainable community development and housing, and the protection of our forests and wildlife. An online silent auction will run from March 22nd to April 3rd to raise additional funds for VNRC's mission, with prizes distributed to the winning bidders on the night of the screening. Doors open to the public at 5:30 pm, and the show begins at 6:30 pm. For tickets, registration, auction pages, and more information, please visit the festival webpage at www.vnrc.org/wsff2024. Hope to see you there!
