The Pittsfield Select Board has invited Christopher Mattrick, Green Mountain National Forest District Ranger to present the findings of the Preliminary Environmental Assessment of the Telephone Gap Project.
The project involves 72,253 acres in portions of Pittsfield and seven other towns in the Rochester and Middlebury Ranger Districts. Forestry management practices such as logging and controlled burns are being proposed.
