Bring your curiosity and questions as spring awakens all living things! All are invited to the annual James P. Taylor Outdoor Adventure program hosted by the Green Mountain Club's Bread Loaf Section. Our featured speaker this year is herpetologist Jim Andrews. Join this experienced and informative local speaker in person in Middlebury as he discusses the identification, natural history, distribution, and conservation of the salamanders, frogs, snakes, and turtles that we are most likely to encounter in the Green Mountains of Central Vermont.
About the speaker: Herpetologist Jim Andrews currently serves as chair of the Reptile and Amphibian Scientific Advisory Group to the Vermont Endangered Species Committee. He also coordinates the Vermont Reptile and Amphibian Atlas and serves as a research and teaching associate with Vermont Family Forests in Bristol, VT.
The program is free and open to the public and will be held in person at the Champlain Valley Unitarian Universalist Society at 2 Duane Ct. in Middlebury. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Optional donations are accepted to support the Green Mountain Club's work.
