Let your words take wing,
National Poetry Month, a joyful thing.
Moretown Library, a haven for rhyme,
Celebrate the art, one verse at a time!
April is National Poetry Month! And what better way to celebrate the art of words than with your local library?
There are many ways to appreciate poetry this coming month. Please join us for one or a few of the following events!
Poem Board: Visit the Moretown Library throughout the of April to write and share a poem on our Poetry Board. Whether it's about love, grief, friendship, weather, mud, kids – we hope you care to share with the larger community. We'll share select poems throughout the month on our social media feed.
Spine Poetry: Assemble a poem out of book spines (stacked horizontally to read a poem) and snap a pick, sharing it with us on Social @moretown_library. Get creative! Assemble a spine poem at home, or come discover our selection of books.
Poetry Slam Waitsfield: Join us at the upcoming Poetry Slam at the Mad River Barn in Waitsfield, Vermont sponsored by Joslin Memorial Library with Slammaster, Geof Hewitt on April 5th at 6:30pm at the Mad River Barn in Waitsfield. Pre-register here: https://forms.gle/LHW1HEBu7z4xmZeB8
