March 23-24th 2024, Huntington Spring Maple Open House Weekend

Come join your neighbors and friends for sweet treats during Huntington's Annual Sugar Makers' Open House Weekend. On March 23 – 24th many Huntington sugar making operations will be open to the public (regardless of the weather) and invite people to check out their facilities, sample this year's crop, & enjoy a variety of maple treats. Weather permitting, Sugar makers from one end of town to the other will be boiling that day! A variety of delicious maple products will also be available for purchase.

FREE and for all ages.

The Open House weekend is supported by the Huntington Conservation Commission and is intended to raise awareness and appreciation for local agricultural enterprises in our town that boasts approximately 50,000 taps found in a mix of retail and private operations ranging in size. Participating sugar makers include:
1. Audubon Vermont: 214 Main Road, 600 Taps, Tours of sugarbush, syrup taste tests, scavenger hunts and sugar on snow available for sale. Open Saturday & Sunday 11a.m. – 4p.m.
2. Purinton Maple: 190 Pond Road, 17,300 Taps, Maple cotton candy, maple sugar, maple candy, maple syrup on ice cream, and more. Open Saturday 9 a.m. – 3p.m. Sunday 9a.m. – 2p.m.
3. Taft's Milk & Maple Farm: 674 Camels Hump Road, 10,000 Taps, Maple cream donuts. Open Saturday & Sunday 11a.m. – 3p.m.
4. Mountainside Maple: 7926 Main Road Hanksville, 10,000 Taps, Free coffee and baked sweets. Syrup, cream, granulated sugar and candy for sale. Open Saturday & Sunday 11a.m. – 3p.m.
5. Running Saps Mapleworks: 53 Ski Lodge Drive, 3300 Taps, syrup samples, donuts, and fun kids' activities. Open Saturday 11a.m. – 4p.m.
6. MADwood Maple: 950 Bert White Road 170 Taps. Open Saturday 11a.m. – 4p.m.
