Learn More About Shelburne's Zoning Bylaw Re-write Project at March 18 Zoom Discussion

Who: All Shelburne residents are invited to attend.

What: The Shelburne Alliance for the Environment (SAFE) will host a series of community discussion sessions on Zoom that will address issues related to the Planning Commission's rewrite of all our zoning bylaws. The first session will focus on Shelburne's rural areas covered in Article 3 and Article 7 of the current bylaw draft.

When: The first session is Monday, March 18, at 7-8 p.m.

Where: On Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89690023585?pwd=VlVDODdBVFFHVDQ3dVV2TUxSd2Q4QT09#success. The Zoom sessions will also be recorded and posted to the SAFE website at https://www.safe-shelburne.com/home.

What to Expect:
-Discussion, Q&A's and an explanation of recommendations that SAFE will make to the Planning Commission.
-Understandable and non-technical summary of the bylaw project.
-Focused discussion on the zoning proposals for Shelburne's rural areas. In a large portion of the rural areas, the consultants are proposing that allowable density be doubled from current standards.

Why: The Planning Commission and consultants have nearly completed an initial draft of the new bylaws. Many important policy decisions will be finalized over the coming weeks and months.

Please Note: These conversations are not sponsored by the Planning Commission or the consultant PlaceSense. They are another avenue for the citizens of Shelburne to learn about the zoning rewrite process and voice their thoughts on it.
