The Stem Challenge Initiative of Vermont (scivt.org) is pleased to invite you to attend our eclipse celebration highlighting two advocates of astronomy, Molly Drapa and Hazel Wilkins. They will share family-friendly presentations suitable for all ages, focused on the science behind solar eclipses. Vermont experienced its last total solar eclipse in 1932 and will not see another until 2106!

Solar Eclipses: A Scientific Understanding
During this presentation you will gain a basic understanding, and learn about a broad overview of solar eclipses, including how they work, what to expect during the eclipse, the cosmic significance of solar eclipses, and how to observe the upcoming eclipse safely. This presentation will answer all the basic questions, from "what is a solar eclipse" to "how do I get solar glasses".

University of Vermont Graduate, Dual Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Mathematics with a concentration in Astronomy.
