VINS Star Lab "Journey Through The Stars"
Teachers & Parents: We have some exciting local events pertaining to the upcoming Solar Eclipse!
Enter your students in grades 3 through 8 for a chance to use the exciting portable planetarium hosted by the Vermont Institute of Natural Sciences and our STEM Challenge Initiative.
Event Details:
Date: Saturday April 6, 2024
Time: Two sessions, 2 PM and 3 PM
Location: Missisquoi Valley Union High School
Other activities at this event include an Oculus Virtual Reality (VR) Goggle Experience.
• Virtual views of past eclipses • Apollo 11
• Adventures in Space • Mission ISS
• Earthrise • and many more exciting VR experiences
Space is limited for the Star Lab to 25 students in grades 3 through 8 per session. Please send us your student recommendations and we will enter them into a pool to draw 25 lucky participants for each of the two Planetarium showings. Please only recommend students if you are sure they will be able to attend the event. In addition to the Planetarium showings, we will have VR experiences on site, so attendees can come with family members who can participate in the VR experience while selected students participate in the "Journey Through the Stars"
