The 16th " Annual Scouting Salute to Veterans Parade" will be held in Bristol starting at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1st. All veterans, retired and active-duty personnel, are invited to join in marching in the parade. The parade also honors Vermont EMS, fire personnel and police officers. Registration for individuals marching or riding the horse-drawn trolley begins at 9:00 a.m. at Mt. Abe Union High School. There will be a horse-drawn trolley provided for those honored individuals who are not able to march in the parade. Those individuals invited to participate with vehicles are asked to line up on Liberty or Pine Street. There will be Parade personnel to assist in the parade line up. Participants include all braches of the Scouting Organizations, Veterans, Firefighters, Police, Rescue Squads, 40th Army Band, school bands, Fife and Drum Corps, antique military vehicles, and more. Marching individuals will line up at the Rec. Field after registering.

Please advise the chief point of contact, American Legion Post #19 Commander Ron LaRose, (802-989-8573 or 802-3818) if you will be needing to ride so that we can plan for additional transportation if required of if there are any other questions.

There will be a short formal closing ceremony on the Bristol Green where all participants will line up.

The public is invited to come to Bristol for an inspiring, joyful day of tribute to those who deserve our acknowledgement of their service to our country. This is a rain or shine event.
