The Norwich University Corps of Cadets will conduct an Echo Taps Ceremony in honor of beloved Professor of Mathematics Brad Slonaker on Thursday, March 14, at 10:00 PM on the Upper Parade Ground (UP).

Norwich and local Northfield community members are welcome to attend the ceremony. We ask all attendees to arrive at the UP by 9:50, assemble adjacent to Jackman Hall, and remain quiet and respectful throughout the ceremony.

Echo Taps is a Corps ceremony to show respect and honor fallen cadets, cadet alumni, faculty, staff, or alumni killed in the line of duty. The Corps of Cadets will form on the UP, rendering respect. A firing detail from the Norwich Drill Team will fire three rifle volleys (using blank ammunition), followed by Echo Taps performed by buglers from our Regimental Band. Our Pipes and Drum unit will conclude with Amazing Grace. This honor is a solemn ceremony meant to emulate a military funeral.

A Celebration of Life will be held earlier that evening at 7:00 PM at White Chapel.
