Born in Texas to Mexican parents, Adela Dalto's rise to international stardom came through honing her skills performing in New York City clubs as a powerful jazz and R&B vocalist. In her 30+ year career Dalto has performed with such top-ranked Latin musicians as Jerry Gonzalez, Hilton Ruiz, and Mauricio Smith's Latin Jazz Orchestra, and was a featured vocalist with Mario Bauza's AfroCuban Orchestra and Carlos "Patato" Valdes's AfroJazzia Ensemble. Adela Dalto is immersed in the highest levels of Latin and Brazilian jazz music and has mixed the sophisticated elements of this music with American jazz.
We will take April off for mud season, and then will be back in May with Christine Jensen on May 9th.
