The Friends of Gillett Pond are sponsoring a reception for the Art for Gillett Pond exhibition at the Huntington Public Library on Sunday (Oct. 5) from 5-7 pm. Paintings and photographs of Gillett Pond were created by well known-artists from Chittenden Country and from 25%-100% of each sale will be donated to the Gillett Pond Fund. While some works have already sold, several new paintings and photographs have been added to the exhibition, including 8 photographs by a niece of the Gilletts for whom the Pond is named. Also available are greeting and holiday cards of Gillett Pond. The Friends and many of the artists will be present to answer questions and discuss the issues surrounding the need to maintain and support the Pond.
