Calling all lake, archaeology, and history lovers! The Patrick Leahy Lake Champlain Basin Program (LCBP) is hosting their Winter Love the Lake speaker series--4 FREE public presentations on Lake Champlain's cultural and natural resources.
The series will close out on 3/14 with a presentation by the Director of the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, Chris Sabick, on the American Revolution in the Champlain Valley. Topics include the Battle of Valcour Bay, ongoing archaeological work at Arnold's Bay, the gunboat Spitfire, and where Revolutionary War research efforts in the area are headed next.
This program begins at 6:30 p.m. in the LCBP Office, 54 West Shore Road, Grand Isle, VT, located just north of the Grand Isle ferry entrance.
