This super fun acting class will be in Lyndonville!
Presented By: Catamount Arts
Mondays, March 25 – May 13, 6:30-8:00pm (final class will be a 1 hour performance at 7pm)
Instructor: William York Hyde
Utilizing fun improv games, gentle acting exercises and a cross-over model of character development, this 8-week class will help participants to develop new life skills, gain more confidence and higher levels of self-awareness, and reveal or improve their latent acting skills. The final class is a staged revue of short plays and fun skits.
If you're a local performer or someone who just wants to gain a bit more confidence, please come play with us. Those who have participated in previous sessions of Better Acting are welcome to continue, as we'll be covering some new material as well as honing skills presented in earlier sessions.
Class fee: $130 (10% discount for Catamount Arts members and high school students). We strive to make arts learning experiences accessible to all, regardless of ability to pay; please call Anne at 802-748-2600 ext. 109 to discuss payment plans or payment on a sliding scale.

William York Hyde is a recent transplant to the Northeast Kingdom — Catamount Arts is one of the reasons he chose to retire to St. Johnsbury. William, a SAG-AFTRA member, has performed in movies, TV shows, radio broadcasting, commercials, voice-overs, and more than 130 stage productions, from coast to coast, from the avant-garde to Shakespeare, from Renaissance Fairs to Broadway. As a collector of short comedic plays, acting exercises and stage games geared to fun self-awareness, William is keen to share his experiences and insights with curious, creative, and adventurous New Englanders.
