Sterling College will be hosting community dinner again this Friday (and every Friday!) from 5-6pm. The meal is put on by our students in the Local Sustainable Food Systems class. We appreciate the wonderful turn out over the last few dinners, and the students are having a really great time putting this together and connecting with folks outside of our college bubble. Without further ado, the menu this week will be:
Maple Pulled Pork Slider Bar! Students will prepare homemade Brioche slider buns, Maple Pulled Pork with meat raised by the Sterling Farm and maple from Gebbies' Maplehurst (out of Greensboro, VT). The vegetarian option is barbecue Jackfruit or Baked Beans, and sides will be Erin's famous Brussels Sprouts, Green Bean Casserole, Kohlrabi Slaw, hand-cut French Fries, and every schmutz or schmear you could think of. Back by popular demand for dessert: fresh Apple Fritters featuring Paul Sweeney's never-ending supply of local apples. All diets are welcome and accommodated.
The meal is free and open to everyone in the greater Craftsbury community and runs from 5pm to 6pm. As we are deep in Mud Season Round #6, please be mindful when parking around campus and choose footwear wisely. We hope to see you then!
