RISE: Trees, Our Botanical Giants opens today at 1pm at the Gallery at Mad River Valley Arts at 1pm. Opening reception at 5 pm.

RISE is a group show that pays homage to the 'tree' in the creative process. Twenty-eight artists address the relationship with trees in 2D and 3D formats, sometimes employing wood materials, reclaimed or formally crafted, sometimes in ceramic, textiles and functional design. All push the conversation between human-made and nature into one of collaborative revelation.
