The Friends of the Jeudevine Library is a separate nonprofit entity that exists to strengthen and support the work of our municipal library. The Friends was active for many years, however the chaotic nature of the expansion project and then the pandemic has led to a lull in activity.
Now that we're about to have a new library, the time has arrived to get up and running again!
The immediate projects for the Friends are the following:
1. Develop special programming events we will host and support
2. Form a team to help with landscaping/gardening when construction finishes
3. Help create a system to organize volunteers for our expanded library
4. Help with activities to celebrate the eclipse on April 8
If you've ever thought it might be fun to get involved with the library, this is a great time. We'll have a new crew and we can be creative in making our library the best public library it can be.
We'll meet the THIRD TUESDAY of every month at 5:15 at the library. The first meeting will be Tuesday March 19. If you can't make this one, the next one will be Tues 4/16.
Hope to see you there!
