Mick Moloney Tribute Concert
7pm in the McCarthy Arts Center at St. Michael's College in Colchester
Mick Moloney had traveled to Vermont for concerts, festivals and presentations many times over 50 years, most recently with Green Fields of America in March 2019 at the Flynn. It's impossible to measure how much he influenced music and dance and the degree to which he is missed since his passing 2022. He has performed in Vermont many times over the years, including concerts with Billy McComiskey, Liz Carroll, Robbie O'Connell, Dana Lyn, Eugene O'Donnell, etc. at the Champlain Valley Festival, Saint Michael's College, the University of Vermont, Burlington City Hall, The Flynn, etc. Doing a tribute based in Vermont for this important friend, instigator, inspiration was something many felt had to be done. Here is the National Endowment for the Arts statement on the occasion of Mick's death https://www.arts.gov/news/press-releases/2022/national-endowment-arts-statement-death-nation[...]ney.
