Join the MadDog Chapter of Trout Unlimited for a night of awesome Fly Fishing films, swag giveaways, raffle prizes--including a SUP!-- and food and drink provided for purchase by the Big Picture Theater. All proceeds go towards funding local river conservation efforts, fly fishing clinics and camps, and the TU Trout in the Classroom project.
Vermont Trout Camp for Teens is taking applications! For Teen 13-16! Back at Quimby Country in Averill, VT.
The 12th Annual Vermont TU Trout Camp will take place June 23-27, 2024 (Sunday – Thursday).
Campers (age 13-16) will be introduced to the basics of fly fishing through a series of fun and engaging outdoor activites. Participants will learn from some of Vermont's most accomplished fly anglers and conservationists.
Fly fishing skills covered will include casting, knot craft, fly selection and tying, reading the water, presentation and safe wading.
Campers will learn about fish biology, fish habitat and stream ecology as well as aquatic entomology.
The price for Trout Camp is $450 per person and includes your 4 night stay at Quimby Country, meals, transportation to off site fishing locations and all of your instruction.
