Join our town's maple sugaring heritage celebration in a full day of free and affordable family fun - immersion in everything maple! Pancake breakfast 8:00 – 10:30. Interactive, static, and photographic displays, antique sugaring equipment, raffles, door prize drawings, display of student poster contest entries, maple quilt square contest and quilt raffle, maple cotton candy, and bake sale throughout the day. Student boiling demo on their grant-awarded evaporator and narrated sugaring presentation 10:00 – 1:00. Maple pie baking contest judging begins at 10:30 with pie sales immediately after winners are announced. Experience the diverse sugaring operations in Lunenburg during the local sugarhouse tours 10:00 – 3:00. Learn about backyard sugaring at the student-led tree tapping demonstration at 10:30. Enjoy homemade soups and bread lunch from noon – 2:00. Maple theme and Lunenburg gift items available for purchase, including A Wicked Good Run and Lunenburg T-shirts.
