Open Studios in Waterbury Village This Weekend!

Past event
Oct 4 to 5, 2014

Hi everyone,
I will be opening my art studio this Saturday and Sunday from 10AM to 5PM and would love to see you there! I paint real stuff (not abstracts) from every day life in colorful ways using acrylic paints. You could check out my work at torreycarrollsmith.com. Even if my specific work does not resonate with you, open studios are a fun way to find out more about the art-making process, get inspired about your own art ideas, and get to know artist neighbors. If you find yourself moved by the work, that's an extra bonus!

This is part of a free, statewide event called Vermont Open Studio Weekend which happens each fall and spring.
Visitors experience a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the workspaces and creative processes of glassblowers, weavers, sculptors, potters, woodworkers, printmakers, jewelers, furniture makers, painters, quilters, and other makers.

My studio is at 55 South Main Street in Waterbury Village -- across from the Methodist Church and above the H&R Block. There's plenty of parking available in the adjoining lot. And, you can walk between my studio, Jeremy Ayers' pottery studio on Elm Street, and Axel's Gallery & Frame Shop on Stowe Street.

You'll notice bright yellow Open Studio along the roads to guide visitors to studios. More information, maps and artist descriptions are available at vermontcrafts.com.
