The Champlain Philharmonic will perform an exciting concert at Grace Congregational Church on Sat, Oct. 11 at 7:30 PM. Katherine Winterstein, concertmaster of the Vermont Symphony, will perform as soloist on Barber's sublime Violin Concerto. The Philharmonic will also perform works with a Spanish flavor, including Rimsky Korsokov's Cappricio Espagnol and Chabrier's Espana, as well as Hector Berlioz’s bombastic Roman Carnival Overture. Tickets are available at the door for $15 general admission, $10 seniors, and $5 students. The Champlain Philharmonic is a community orchestra made up of musicians from the Rutland and Middlebury areas, including past & present Shrewsbury residents Mary Barron and Roxanne Ramah.
