Hi neighbors, I am giving a piano concert at Christ Church in Montpelier on Saturday, March 2 at 7 pm.
This will be the first concert on the church's new Yamaha grand piano since the flood, which unfortunately caused 1 million dollars in damage to the church and destroyed all the pews, so the concert will take place with the church's new look of padded chairs on rugs and so forth. Longtime former Marshfield resident Lynnette Combs invited me to do this concert and I think it will be a really enjoyable evening that I encourage you to consider attending.
Also, I'm looking for a few volunteers to help me with the event, for things such as: postering (anywhere in central Vermont), volunteering at the concert itself doing set-up, ushering, assisting the public, and cleaning up afterwards; possibly some transportation assistance the day before and the day of the concert, or working on refreshments for the post-concert reception. If you'd like to help with any of these needs, please contact me at MA@MAPiano.com or call me at 802-229-0984.
Naturally, volunteers will receive free tickets. You can visit MAPiano.eventbrite.com to learn more about the concert or purchase online tickets with a card, or you can get a $5 discount on tickets by buying them in advance at the just-opened store Naive Melody Instruments on 95 State St. in Montpelier or alternatively I also have a supply of advance tickets at our house here at 5208 Hollister Hill Road in Marshfield if you'd like to drop by.
