Healthy Rivers- What does a healthy Ompompanoosuc River look like and why should we care?

Topics will include: An Introduction to river ecology and geomorphology; the natural and human history of the Ompompanoosuc including recent flooding events; how climate change affects our rivers; and more.

Question and answer period included.

Much of the information will be applicable to other local watersheds. All Upper Valley residents welcome!

The SCC is proud to have Dan 'Rudi' Ruddell and Eric Donaldson as our presenters.

Rudi is a Tunbridge resident and Watershed Scientist for the White River Partnership where his diverse technical skill sets and educational outreach to learners of all ages are put to good use.

Eric Donaldson, a Strafford resident, is a practicing fluvial geomorphologist, river enthusiast, and Board Member at the White River Partnership, who has implemented river and wetland studies and restoration projects across the U.S.
