Michael Wood-Lewis, co-Founder and CEO of Front Porch Forum (FPF) will give a talk titled "Building Resilience in Vermont Communities" at Stowe Cinema Triplex, 454 Mountain Road on February 21, 1 pm – 2 pm, including a 15-minute Q&A. He will share insights from his experience leading a staff of Vermonters who serve every town in the state.
Michael and his wife Valerie founded the award-winning Front Porch Forum. Since 2006, FPF has helped neighbors connect and build community in Vermont towns. Among the state's 270,000 households, FPF has more than 230,000 members. And this critical mass of people put FPF to great use in many ways.
Previously, Michael led a trade association of New England utilities, and he is an inventor of high-tech recycling equipment. He earned a master's in engineering and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Michael, Valerie, and their kids are deeply ingrained in their Five Sisters neighborhood in Burlington.
