It was great to see such a strong turnout for the first presentation in the library series, "Is Sheburne's Wildlife Habitat at a Tipping Point?" The speakers gave a clear description of the state of our wildlife habitats and why they are so important. I hope people will take advantage of this Thursday's (February 22) follow-up, "Wildlife Corridors & Land Trusts." It will be at the town hall adjacent to the library starting at 6pm.
County Forester Ethan Tapper will give us an inside look at the habitats and corridors, and then the director of the Charlotte land trust will discuss the role of land trusts as one possible vehicle for protecting these lands. I know that Ethan and Kate are really competent speakers and will have much of value to share. I'm so glad this topic is getting the attention it deserves.
