Ben is running for re-election after a first term full of challenging and exciting moments for our City. He has been working hard to improve our public safety, expand housing opportunities, address affordability, and make Burlington one of the most sustainable, climate-conscious small cities in the country. He has the experience and the relationships with other local, State, and federal leaders that Burlington will need to rely on to address the big issues ahead of us.
As stated by Rep. Bluemle, "the issues we face as a community intersect in myriad ways. Addressing them requires the humility to imagine we don't know all that we need to know, the courage to accept truths that might make us uncomfortable, and a willingness to work across interests and differences of opinion to find common ground. I've observed these qualities in Ben Traverse again and again - in private conversations and as an active City Councilor for Ward 5. I'm thrilled to support his re-election for the City Council."
We hope you can join Ben, Rep. Bluemle, and Rep. Stebbins this Monday at 6pm on Zoom:
