Volunteers needed! Posting for longtime former Montpelier resident Michael Arnowitt. PLEASE email replies directly to him.
My name is Michael Arnowitt, for those of you who don't know me, I'm a pianist who lived full-time in Montpelier from 1985 to 2017. I am returning to Montpelier to give a piano concert at Christ Church on Saturday, March 2 at 7 pm. I am looking for some volunteers to help me with the event. If you are interested in helping me with things such as postering (anywhere in central Vermont), volunteering at the concert itself doing set-up, ushering, assisting the public, and cleaning up afterwards, and possibly some transportation assistance the day before and the day of the concert, please contact me at MA@MAPiano.com or call me at 802-229-0984. Naturally, volunteers will receive free tickets.
Some basic information if you would just like to attend: advance tickets at the discounted price of $20 available cash or checks only at the new store Naive Melody Instruments on 95 State St., or $25 at the door or at https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/michael-arnowitt-piano-concert-in-montpelier-vermont-beethoven-a[...]tor if you wish to pay by card. I will be performing some of my personal favorites including Beethoven's amazing last piano sonata no. 32, bright and colorful selections from Stravinsky's Petrushka, plus piano music by Victoria Poleva, Arthur Lourié, Ligeti, Bach, and Brahms.
