The Porter Medical Center Auxiliary has been supporting our hospital since 1934, through financial contributions and the provision of services for our patients, their families and our staff. Over the past six years, they have raised:
• $100,000 for the Helen Porter improvement project, which will give residents and patients updated and more comfortable spaces, indoors and out.
•$60,000 for two clinical training manikins to help medical staff maintain certifications.
•$40,000 for scholarships and ongoing education to increase the number of trained nursing staff.
•Funding for a COVID-19 testing facility, which helped keep infected individuals out of our primary care practices.
•$50,000 to help Porter Medical to meet unanticipated expenses of COVID-19.
•$150,000 for the Helen Porter renovation project that modernized & expanded nursing care & rehabilitation.
•$75,000 for the building of Porter ExpressCare, PMC's clinic that provides quick, less expensive health care options for patients who might otherwise go to the emergency room.
•$137,000 to replace the hospital's patient monitoring system.
