Everyone is invited to attend a Black History Month event, co-sponsored by the Wolcott United Methodist Church and the Wolcott Historical Society at the WUMC on Friday, February 23 at 6:30pm. Rev. Pat Thompson will make a presentation on the life and ministry of the church's African American founder, the Rev. George S. Brown, who organized the church in 1855 and oversaw the construction of the building in 1856 and may have been involved in other construction projects in the community. Light refreshments will be served in the newly renovated Fellowship Hall and kitchen following the presentation. Come and hear about WUMC's African American founder and his life in our community and have the opportunity to see the newly renovated first floor of the building.
If you have any questions, you may contact Rev. Pat at 802-696-8373 or pajt8817@aol.com. Hope to see many of you next Friday.
