Our regular series of excellent contra dances continues on Saturday, Feb. 17, featuring caller Luke Donforth and live music by Cojiro, a duo of Jess Newman on violin and Mark Price on guitar, mandolin and cello. This group says they are "stompy, fun and funky"! Dress in layers, so you can adjust as you heat up.
Come by about 7:30 so you can change or clean your shoes for the refresher/instruction lesson (taught by Luke) at about 7:40, and then enjoy dancing from 8:00 to 11:00, with a mid-way break. Please bring clean, non-marking shoes to protect our beautiful VT maple dance floor. We also recommend a water bottle to stay hydrated. Masks are not required, but we provide free masks if you want. The Capital City Grange Hall, which is located at 6612 VT 12, Berlin VT 05602 has an excellent exhaust fan to keep the dance ventilated.
Admission: choose the price that matches you: $12 for adults, $5 for kids or low-income folks, or $20 if you want to help us pay the band, caller and sound really well!
