Health Justice Jam

Past event
Feb 21, 2024, 5:30 to 7:30 PM

Is your healthcare unaffordable?
Are you unable to access the care you need?
Have you been cut off of Medicaid?
Are you at risk of losing it?
Are you dealing with medical debt?
Do you have ideas about health justice to share with others?

Join local members of the Vermont Workers' Center at a Health Justice Jam from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Feb. 21 in the Centre Congregational Church parlor--193 Main St., Brattleboro. There will be opportunities to share your experiences with the healthcare system if you'd like, and a discussion about how we can work for a system in which everyone is able to enjoy the human right to healthcare. We'll have information about current legislation that proposes to expand access to Medicaid and Medicare Savings Programs, as well as local health resources.

Free COVID tests and blood pressure screenings will be available. Light refreshments will be served, and childcare and interpretation are available by request to windham@workerscenter.org or (802) 257-4436.

RSVP at https://workerscenter.org/2024springtour/ to let us know you're coming and to get updates, especially if we need to postpone due to weather.
