Please join me this Sunday as I facilitate a conversation with author Gail Marlene Schwartz, as she launches her new adult novel, Falling Through the Night.
This event was heralded by Seven Days as one of the Magnificent Seven things to do this week. Hope you can make it!
(It's free, and refreshments provided.)
The book follows protagonist Audrey Meyerwitz, who is queer, anxious, and adopted. More than anything, Audrey wants a healthy family of her own, something that feels impossible. Through immigration, a twin pregnancy, friendship with the Itchy Mortals, and discovering a secret that changes everything she thought she knew about herself, Audrey learns that healthy love means embracing the messiness that defines human families and doing the personal transformation work that requires facing what scares her the most.
It's this Sunday, February18th from 4:00-5:00 p.m., I'll be facilitating a conversation about themes from the book in the Fletcher room at the Fletcher Free Library in Burlington. Gail will read a few excerpts and I'll be offering questions that encourage participants to connect with themes including personal transformation, queer identity, and mental health. The event is free and open to the public, and Gail will be providing refreshments.
I'm hoping for cookies.
Best,
Jason
P.S. No RSVP necessary.
