Come one, come all! All ages and community members are invited to participate in a Snowman Building Competition at the Barre Town Recreation Area (46 Websterville Road).

There are three prize categories:
1. Best Classic Design,
2. Most Creative Design, and
3. Popular Vote.

Participants have a window of three hours to work on their creations, 10:00am - 1:00pm. One entry per person or group. You are responsible for bringing your own snowman equipment (shovels, tools, decorations, etc.). The Town Recreation Board and Parks & Recreation Director will begin walking around at 1:00pm to judge entries. If you finish early feel free to go home and come back for the announcement of prizes shortly after 1:00pm.

Your Day Of Event Checklist:
- Come prepared, dressed warm in layers, hats, and gloves, with extra precautions for the weather.
- Park at Barre Town Middle & Elementary School Parking Lot
- Bring your own tools, shovels, decorations to the Lower soccer field to begin.
- Spread out across the field and make space. Be mindful of neighbors. if more space is needed, staff will direct you to another field at the Recreation Area.

If you cannot attend the in-person event, we encourage you to participate virtually! Make a snowman at home and submit at photo of it to our Recreation Facebook page or by email to the Recreation Director at: JCrossley@barretown.org.
