Worcester's Post Office Cafe's 2nd Anniversary: WED., OCTOBER 1

Thank you to all who have come to support our small café here in the center of town. After two years, we really know our customers. Most of them live here, and they come every day or every week. But we also see many people from neighboring towns, as well as passers by.

For those who have not yet stopped in, or haven’t been by in awhile, here is what we do:

• Baked Goods: a wide variety made here every day, ranging from $1 baked buttermilk doughnuts to maple-frosted cinnamon buns ($2.75) and pastries ($3). Plus, special items each day;

• Great Coffee: freshly-roasted Capitol Ground coffee for brewed coffee or espresso drinks. Tasty teas by VT Artisan Coffee and Tea Company;

• Savory Offerings: breakfast sandwiches (with local smoked ham or sausage, or plain egg and cheese). Vegetable Quiche;

• Lunch: sandwiches made to order with your choice of local meats, cheese, and fixings, on homemade baguette or seeded roll. Homemade Soup and / or Chili. Bag Lunches available anytime to take with you;

• Cakes: by special order, choose your favorite combination;

• Dinners to Go on Saturdays: some Saturdays throughout fall and winter we offer quarts of soup, local beef meatballs plus homemade marinara, loaves of bread, pizza, and other specials. We always publicize via Front Porch Forum and our website (www.postofficecafevt.com) when we offer these dinners. They are a “heat up at home” dinner, and we stock the cooler with the items. Our Saturday hours are 7 am to Noon;

• Special Orders: we can accommodate a wide array of requests. Just ask!

We make it all at the café!

If you’re getting together with friends or family, please consider meeting at the café over coffee and baked goods, or having your lunch at the café. If you’re hosting a birthday, consider ordering a cake. If you’re in charge of a meeting, consider special ordering some baked goods.

To celebrate our 2-year anniversary on Wednesday, Oct. 1, we are offering $1 brewed coffees, and $2 Cinnamon Buns.
