Springfield Development Review Board Meeting

Past event
Feb 27, 2024, 6:30 AM

Fed 27th 6:30PM there will be a hearing at the Springfield Town Offices, third floor Selectboard's Hall, to review a proposal from Matt Priestly to shift subdivision boundary lines and amend acreages on three parcels of land at 825 Skitchewaug Trail. The proposal includes a request to lower the acreage on one parcel to less than 10 acres which is out of compliance with current LR-25 zoning (land reserve 25 acres). The area is designated a deer wintering area by the Agency of Natural Resources. The owner submitted a similar proposal 4 years ago to the town and stated his reason to reduce a parcel to less than 10 acres was to avoid going through the Act 250 permit process and he indicated his intensions are to start a stone quarry/mining operation (including blasting) and bring in a stone crushing operation to the property. If you have an interest in preserving the residential and rural environment of the neighborhood, and surrounding areas that would be affected by industrial stone hauling, please do attend. You may attend in person. You may also participate via zoom and can contact the town offices for information on how to pre-register and log in for the zoom meeting.
