If you would like to learn about wild apple tree release but don't care to engage in the actual work, you are invited to stop by during the morning work session to listen and watch.
Wild apple tree release is a pruning and thinning practice that increases fruit production and provides more food for wildlife. For additional information on the practice, see: https://mywoodlot.com/images/supporting_information/how_to_release_and_prune_apple_trees.pdf This is a Nature Literacy Program - a collaboration between the Huntington Public Library and the Huntington Conservation Commission. For more program information you may contact Anne at the Library.
