The Pond Brook Project, a VT state-approved, place-based, experiential school for 7th-9th grade is holding an informational meeting for interested students and families for the 2024-25 school year, Thursday, February 15 at Lawrence Memorial Library in Bristol, 5:30-7:00.
There will be a slideshow of our current year, presentation about our outdoor-focused curriculum, and a question-and-answer session for parents and prospective students. Teachers will provide information about our interdisciplinary, hands-on approach to learning, student agency, community culture and how our program covers the content areas required by the Vermont Agency of Education. Though not a traditional classroom setting, students at Pond Brook approach similar subject areas to other local schools through the lens of the natural and cultural history of the Champlain Valley.
Pond Brook Project admits students and families of all socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, and disability.
Please visit www.pondbrook.org for more information and we hope to see you on the 15th!
