The next meeting of the Albany Local Disaster Shelter Group will be held this Thursday, October 2, 2014, at 7 pm, at the Albany Methodist Church on Main Street in Albany Village.

At the last meeting in July the group decided to meet every three months. I felt we had a very successful first meeting and much work has already been accomplished to help our community when the time comes to open our emergency disaster shelter(s). Of course, there is more to do, and I feel we need to continue to meet to be better prepared. All are welcome to attend and be part of the group or if you just want to learn more.
