One of the easiest ways to identify trees is by their leaves. But what do you do in winter? Join VT Coverts Cooperators April Boone and Liz Volpe as they host Rutland County Forestry Advisor Tessa McGann for a walk in the woods. Tessa will share identification techniques using characteristics like bark, buds and twigs to ID common Vermont trees in the winter! The program will be followed with an opportunity to warm up inside with cookies and cocoa. The program is free. Snowshoes optional. Registration is requested but not required.
